Editorial Policy
This Editorial Policy explains how Insurance Simplified USA researches, writes, reviews, and updates content, and how we keep advertising separate from editorial decisions.
Original Content
Guides, calculators, and comparisons are written and built specifically for this Site. We do not copy or closely paraphrase text from other publishers, and we do not publish AI-generated content without human review, fact-checking, and editing.
Sourcing and Fact-Checking
Insurance rules, coverage requirements, and definitions are checked against authoritative sources — including state Departments of Insurance, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), Medicare.gov, CMS, Healthcare.gov, and comparable official government resources — described in more detail on our Sources and Methodology pages. Where we can’t verify a specific figure, we describe it as an estimate or range rather than presenting it as an exact, current fact.
Human Review
Content is reviewed by our editorial team before publication and periodically afterward, since insurance rules, rates, and terminology change over time. We do not claim credentialed professional review (such as a licensed insurance agent, attorney, or actuary) on any page unless a specific reviewer with those credentials is genuinely named on that page.
Updates
Articles and calculators display a “Last updated” date. When we become aware that information is outdated or incorrect, we update the page and, where the change is material, revise the date.
Corrections
If you believe something on this Site is inaccurate, please tell us — see our Corrections Policy for how we handle reports.
Advertising Separation
Advertising is displayed separately from, and clearly labeled apart from, editorial content. Advertisers have no influence over what we write, how we describe insurance products, or how our calculators are built. See our Advertiser Disclosure for how this Site is funded.
